      Specially selected soybeans in a pod. Wel-Pac Chamame Soybeans in Pod uses a special kind of Japanese soybean called Chamame (cha-ma-me). Chamame has been produced only in some areas of Japan for centuries but lately has gained popularity among food connoisseurs, as it has an exquisite sweetness and a distinctive aroma. Simply boiled with a pinch of salt, great-tasting Wel-Pac Chamame Soybeans makes a perfect and delicious healthy appetizer that will give anyone a new experience of eating soybeans.       Directions

      Keep frozen. Bring 6 quarts of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add contents of 1 package (14.1 oz) frozen, Wel-Pac Chamame Soybeans in Pod and 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional). Return to a boil. Boil 5 to 6 minutes. Drain. Rinse with cold water to cool. Drain well. Serve as an appetizer or snack. Open pod; eat the beans inside and discard pod. If desired, add cooked, shelled beans to tossed green, bean or pasta salads.
